César’s Pawfect Stay: Where Pets Are Family

César’s love for animals runs deep. His journey as a dedicated pet caregiver began years ago in Colombia, with a Cocker Spaniel named Phelps. At a time when he knew little about dogs, Phelps became his first teacher — showing him the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that animals offer. That bond sparked a lifelong passion for understanding and caring for pets.

To turn that passion into expertise, César spent seven years working alongside Dr. Diasti as a kennel tech and vet tech. From leading playgroups of 15+ dogs and mastering the nuances of canine interaction to assisting in the care of animals with complex medical conditions, he gained invaluable hands-on experience. His time in veterinary care gave him a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and well-being — knowledge he now brings to every pet entrusted to his care.

Throughout his journey, animals have always been César’s greatest teachers. His home is now shared with Sele, a spirited and loving dog, and Lyra, a cat whose gentle purrs and wise gaze have opened his heart to the incredible world of feline companionship. But César’s life has also been shaped by the memory of beloved pets who left lasting imprints:

Boz, a Rottweiler-Pitbull mix, taught César the meaning of unwavering companionship. Through both joyful days and challenging times, Boz’s steady presence and unconditional love were a constant source of comfort.

Oreo, a joyful Cocker Spaniel whose energy and affection brightened every moment.

Big Blue of Lakeside, an incredible blue Pitbull with a gentle spirit and an endless capacity for love.

Alfie, a lovable English Bulldog known for his goofy charm and big personality.

Rufus, a resilient Boxer-Pitbull mix whose story of redemption through patient training and trust is one César holds close.

Lio, a brave three-legged pup who never let his differences slow him down.

Hank, a determined Bulldog with megaesophagus, who required a little extra care during mealtimes — and in return, gave infinite love.
